I generally use oil-based or silicone-based lubricants for anal masturbation and anal sex. Water-based lubes react better with an already wet environment. Essential Anal Lube is a water-based anal lubricant, so I wasn't convinced that the slickness would last very long.
In the end (no pun intended), Essential Anal Lube proved me wrong. Its slickness lasted over 20 minutes, and it's water-based properties proved compatible with my new butt sex toy, the Twist. I dove inside of my rear canal for extreme pleasure - and did so for a long time.
I kept a spray bottle of water right next to me, ready for reactivation of the lube. Fortunately, I never needed the water: Essential Anal Lube made sure my butt stayed nice and wet. I am still more inclined to rely on silicone-based lubes, but I have no problem using Essential Anal Lube.

I'm not glowing with enthusiasm, nor am I bright red with frustration. Finger and toy penetration feels good, but for actual anal sex there are better anal lubes. I suggest Climax Bursts Anal Lube as the sensible alternative.
Don't Judge Me
I expected more than I got. Quite overrated in my opinion.

I am deliberating between two anal lubes - Essential Anal Lube (decent flavor, strong scent, very slippery) and Climax Bursts Anal Lube (gel slickness, softer on skin, healthy vitamin enrichment). I've been deliberating for a week -- which is better. I am leaning toward the Climax one. Tough. Try both for yourself, I guess. I don't mind using both. I probably made someone's decision tougher. Sorry!!!!!! Both are very, very good and eliminate painful rear-entry.

Surely these lubricant companies can hire someone to design better containers. My wife and I believe in the lube. It would be nice to have a more artistic and sexy bottle or container. I would be willing to pay a few extra dollars for classier packaging. After all, Essential Anal Lube is a quality butt-gel. Match the product's quality with an acceptable package, yes?
