What do you get when you put a little "kink" in a Pocket Rocket
? Why the Jolie of course! Built on the same principles that made pocket rocket-style vibrators so successful, the Jolie adds an ergonomic bend in the vibe's shaft and waterproofing for wet and wild fun.
The Jolie's simple single-speed control will get you started with minimal hassle; all you have to do is pop the battery in and turn it on. Recommended for beginners, yet still lovingly remembered by more advanced vibrator enthusiasts, the Jolie is an excellent way to dive into the world of quality sex toys.
Like so many others, I started off with a Pocket Rocket
- or I should say - one of the cheap knockoffs of the Pocket Rocket. Still though, I have great memories of that little thing! Cheap knockoff that it was, my original "Pocket Rocket" vibe didn't last long, much to my dismay.
I wish I had known about the Jolie back then. The Jolie is well made, by one of the most reputable manufacturers in the business. There's only one setting, but it's plenty powerful, and since it only requires one battery you won't have to tear apart your TV remote. The only drawback is that it's pretty noisy, but honestly for a vibrator in this price range there's always going to be something. If you want to spend a bit more and get a similar vibrator that's quieter, I'd recommend the Mia.

This item is made of Phthalate Free material
, and Plastic
The Jolie is Natural Contours answer to the old Pocket Rocket
, but with a twist. Built on the same principle as a Pocket Rocket the Jolie features a clever bend half-way down the shaft to make this vibe fit ergonomically in your hand and against your clitoris. While it only has one speed, it seems to be more powerful to me than the original Pocket Rocket. Another bonus with the Jolie is that it is waterproof, so safe to play with in the bath or shower, and is made of smooth ABS plastic so compatible with any type lubricant. ABS plastic is also a great material for transferring vibrations.
I had no problem getting off with the Jolie. If I were to pick between the Jolie and the Original Pocket Rocket today, the Jolie would win hands-down. Great little discreet toy. Perfect for beginners and women who want a sex toy that doesn't look obvious.
I got a Mia
and a Jolie at the same time as gifts at my bachelorette party. They both have their strengths and weaknesses, but the Jolie is the better of the two IMO. It vibrates more intensely and is easier to hold. I didn't find it to be too noisy like the other reviewer said, but it's not completely silent either.
Two complaints here:
1. There needs to be more than one speed.
2. The on/off button does not snap into place, making easy to accidentally turn the knob too far when trying to turn off the vibrator and accidentally opening the battery compartment.
Other than that the Jolie is a great choice for someone looking for a cheap beginner vibrator.
If you're looking for something to replace that aging Pocket Rocket
, this is it. It's ergonomic (both the shaft and tip) for comfort. It's waterproof, so you can easily take it in the tub (or wherever). It's most likely higher quality than the old PockRock you're used to, since Natural Contours is known for their quality.
Natural Contours has essentially improved on the pocket rocket with the Jolie. This discreet toy is great for a weekend getaway and one I can definitely recommend. It's a really great and relatively cheap present for Valentine's Day that's sure to please it's recipient!
