Gimmick sex toys are generally nothing more than a good laugh. VibeReview only carries a few of these types of sex toys (mainly as gag gifts and such). I infrequently test gimmick-like sex toys that actually enhance masturbation. The Vibrating Pen is more than a gimmick toy, though.
I wouldn't go so far as to label it "The best toy ever made!" but I do think there are benefits to owning one. Convenient masturbation is important to me. I don't always want to pull out my i-Lube personal lubricant, or prepare my Vibe Rabbit and Space Explorer for heavy-duty action.

I gave the Vibrating Pen to my girlfriend for her college graduation. I took it out of the box, put in a nicer gift box, and wrapped it up. She thought it was a regular pen. Later that night I showed her different. It was a cool set up and interesting toy.

Love the idea, don't like the toy that much. It makes a tingly sensation run rampant, but that same sensation doesn't amount to much in terms of orgasms.

Interesting concept. If the manufacturer wants it to be a reliable vibrator, they should consider making a vibrating marker -- or some such. That way the vibrator's motor could be larger, more powerful. Basically, I am saying that the pen is limited in size and power. Cool idea and all, but didn't quite make the cut for me.

I didn't expect much from the Vibrating Pen. I obviously wanted a toy that was capable of making me orgasm. It accomplishes that goal, but like the last person said, it's overall power is limited so orgasms sometimes take a while.

Don't get too excited about the Vibrating Pen. As a vacation or travel toy it fills a need. As a regularly used home toy...not so much. It's so small that power is an issue. When I do play with it, I have an orgasm--it takes a while to get there.
